I decided to write about reality shows today. Some reality shows on TV are absolutely rediculous. Starting with the ultimate most stupid show, Flavor of Love. From this funny yet completely rediculous show came many others that just keep taking reality to the next level. All of these trying to conquer one main goal; to find love. Now when does anyone actually find love when put on TV?
Yeahhh not really anyone. Many famous people ( Bret Michaels, New York, Real, and Chance) have tried over and over, yet still nothing. There are however many not famous people that go on the Bachelor and the Bachelorette. Several of these people want; the money for potentially becoming famous, money, and more money.
This also leads to new shows that are all about money. I mean I'm sure everyone could use some, but to go on all of these shows? It seems a little crazy unless of course you actually win.
One show that i definitely do love to watch is the Real World/Road Rules challenges. I always get real into these. They usually bring a lot of comic relief with enough drama so that way you don't need any in your real life. It is also interesting to see all of the different missions that they have. Some are very physical and then there are others that are so challenging mentally, that they may be harder then those physical ones.
I've always had a dream of possibly being on a reality show. One that I could see myself on would be the Real World. However having so much of your personal life being exposed to millions of viewers, and most importantly your parents and family! That's the scary part. It's such a shock to see what all of these carzy people are going to do next. Whether they are going to a local bar, or just sitting around the house, the options are endless. Putting together 7 strangers all cooped up in 1 house can be disasterous. There are so many conflicts that it gets pretty entertaining. But also this show can just suck you right in. It's like if you miss one week of it, your missing one week of your life. Haha not to that extreme maybe but something like that.
So these are my words on Reality TV....until next time

Reality shows are terribly ridiculous! I, too, wonder how these people willingly go on TV and embarrass themselves. I think it could be fun, but I wouldn't have the courage to humiliate myself and then come home to my friends and family. Despite all this, I must admit I'm slightly addicted to these stupid shows. I find them humorous and entertaining. I may not truly believe New York is finding love or that the Real World is 100% real, but I do enjoy watching it unfold.
ReplyDeleteI completely agree with the fact reality shows are the most ridiculous things on television, but they are ADDICTING. Like i flip through the channels, and then a real/chance of love or any of those stupid love shows for people who were already on another stupid love show comes on and i can't stop watching them. I think its because i love seeing the stupid drama of someone else's life unfold.
ReplyDeleteI think that some reality shows are awful. I think that talk shows are the worst because people just tell all their business. You could not pay me enough to go on Springer or the Maury show. I think those shows are so degrading. How can those women go and admit they have no idea who the father of their child is and then have had 10 men tested. Seriously they must have some kind of mental disorder and they must have no morals. They obviously don't think that their child can in the future watch that degrading crap. I can not believe that Jerry Springer and Maury Povich are so money hungry that they host that crap. My favorite reality show is The Biggest Loser. I love it and I think its actually a decent show that is really trying to help people with weight problems.
ReplyDeleteReality shows are far from reality....
ReplyDeleteEven though I think they're absurd and a complete waste of time, I still watch them. I can honestly yell how stupid they are at the TV but STILL continue to watch. I don't know what it is that draws people into reality shows because they're mostly bogus. I think the drama is a big part of the entertainment but eventually it all just gets predictable and old.
